LANDER
The lander was manufactured to accommodate the existing equipment in iMARL but also to be capable of accommodating other additional sensors when required. The flotation used are N9 Resinex Buoyancy block (600x350x300mm) rated to 6000m with a weight of 40kg in air and net buoyancy of 22kg. The frame is 1.4 x 1.4 x 1.4m and made from box section 316 stainless steel with a thickness of 40mm on the main sections and 25mm on the uprights.
The lander comes with:
- iXblue Oceano 2500s Light Acoustic Release
- Xeos Apollo combo GPS/LED Flasher
- Up to 14 x Resinex buoyancy blocks

Upward buoyancy for in water test was 220kg. Weight in water was 188kg and an additional 157kg was used to sink the lander. No anodes were used which must be included on deployment.
Note: * When weight in water was missing from the manufactures specification it was calculated at 15% less than weight in air.
